Do you feel better (physically) since becoming vegetarian?

Yes, I believe that it was exactly the moment when I became a full vegan that I started truly feeling the positive changes. Other people(omnivores) might say anything they want, but I have never felt healthier!

    Favorite vegetarian chefs

I adore quite a few vegetarian/vegan cooks on YouTube. I enjoy chef Chloe Coscarelli and Vegan Cooking With Love quite much. I recently discovered Jason Wrobel, as well(also on YouTube).

What's the best way to wash your veggies?

Greens should be washed by separating each leaf and soaking them in warm water for a few minutes. Don't forget to drain them later, as well. Other vegetables should be washed in cold water, I believe.

    Soup stock

I personally do not understand how you could call yourself a vegetarian if you eat fish or chicken. There was a period in my life when I ate both(but did not eat any other type of meat), but I did not consider myself a vegetarian back then. Now I don't eat any meat or fish, and I almost don't...

Lack of vegetarian or healthy cooking television shows

That's why I prefer watching YouTube videos instead of television shows. There are lots of relatively small, undiscovered vegetarian or vegan cooks on YouTube. And they are not any worse than the chefs on the television shows! :)

Long Term Relationship Discussion Topics for Vegans

Very good article! I think the ability to have an open and honest conversation about any topic is the main skill you have to have to have successful relationships. Especially if you need to discuss something that impacts your daily choices at least three times a day!

    Making New Vegan/Vegetarian Friends

I attended a cooking course for vegans for 2 months. That way, I made many friends who are vegans or vegetarians. We have also made a vegan/vegetarian group on Facebook, and I sometimes get to know some people this way, too.

    Dating a non-vegan/vegetarian

My vegetarianism has not affected my relationships in any way. I respect her choices, and she respects mine. Yes, difficulties arise sometimes when going out to eat or preparing meals, but I love her dearly and obviously would not break up with her because of her dietary choices.

Do you feel better (physically) since becoming vegetarian?

My skin and hair is much healthier, but sometimes I feel physically weak or even exhausted. However, that does not mean that you cannot feel energetic when you are a vegetarian, it just means that sometimes I am too lazy to eat right. When I consume all the necessary nutrients and vitamins, I...

How much experimenting do you do in the Kitchen?

I think cooking is the field in which you can experiment, while in baking precise quantities of products are very important. So I am very precise when cooking, but I let my creativity show when I am cooking.

Which Food or Food Group is your main source of protein?

Green peas, chickpeas, beans, tofu, different seeds(e.g., poppy seeds, chia seeds, sesame)...I am also not a vegan, so I treat myself with cheese, yogurt/milk and eggs, as well.

    Vegetarian Children

I agree! A parent who is vegan/vegetarian but is well-informed about the necessary nutrients and vitamins, and is willing to consult a doctor throughout the whole process, will probably be able to provide a much more well-balanced and healthy meal to his child than a parent with 'normal' eating...

Would you eat meat grown in a lab?

I did not eat too much meat even back when I was not a vegetarian, so I might try it out of curiosity, but I really have no more interest in eating artificial meat than real meat(unless it turns out to be awfully tasty).

    Chocolate

This thread reminds me of a traumatic experience in my past haha. Where I live, they sell these nutrition bars that look(and taste) like they are made from chocolate/iris, but are really made from bull blood. I have anemia, so when I was younger, my mom used to give them to me and tell me that...

    Pescetarian

There was a period in my life when I did not eat meat but ate fish, but I did not consider myself to be a vegetarian. I just liked fish/seafood too much to stop eating, but I did not try to justify this decision to myself in anyway. Only when I stopped eating meat, as well, did I star...

Your defining moment in deciding to become vegetarian?

I had been on the verge of doing that for years, and I consumed very little meat anyway, so it just happened somehow.

    Agave instead on Honey

Agave has a higher calorie content, and I prefer the taste of honey. I think honey is healthier, as well.

Do you think children should be brought up vegan or vegetarian?

I think it is alright to do so, as long as you provide them with all the necessary nutrients. Some people might oppose you and say that you are forcing your lifestyle on them, but so are omnivores, to be completely honest.

    Vegetarianism and depression

I was hospitalized for depression when I was eating meat very minimally, and my doctors practically forced me to eat meat. My mental state improved(although I do not think there was a direct correlation between eating meat and feeling better, I was in treatment, after all), and, when I quit the...

    Should we go completely vegan?

I think it should be your choice only, if you feel unhappier not eating meat than eating, I don't think you should restrict yourself(unless, of course, it is an ethical decision not to eat meat).
