Because my family eats fish 2-3 times per week, chicken 1-2 times a month, and turkey burgers 1-2 times a month. It's just easier to go with what they're doing than to try and come up with something different for myself. (and yes: I am trying to introduce vegan or vegetarian meals to my parents...
Okay so I'm not vegan anymore.
I really wanted to be but (1.) My past eating disorder was resurfacing because of the restrictions and labels I had put on myself. (And that scared me) And (2.) I was constantly craving the texture of meat.
I'm allergic to soy, gluten and dariy so going vegan...
So I've been craving some yogurt covered raisins and was wondering if there's a brand out there that makes a vegan version? Or should I try to make my own? If so i'd love some recipes.
Thank you in advance!
Does lentil pasta have lysine in it? Cronometer says it doesn't and I can't fin anything online.
I would think that is does since the only ingredient in the pasta is red lentil flour.
(FYI: I'm using Barilla Red Lentil pasta)
Thanks in advance.
Just wondering but if the world went vegetarian would eggs, dairy, honey, wool, ect. be okay to have/consume? I mean, if no animal is killed or harmed in any way to get those products wouldn't it be enough?
Am I wrong in thinking that the reason the egg/dairy industry is bad is because unwanted...
I'm going to Chipotle with my family tonight. I haven't gone there for over two years (I ate meat then). I've looked at their website and they have a list of vegan options - but just to make sure: any hidden animal products I need to know about?
thanks!
you're so welcome!
and with the being afraid thing - I get that. You just have to keep reminding myself that (1) if eating that food makes you afraid that's the perfect way to kick your eating disorder to Timbuktu (unless you live there in which case kick it to the moon) and (2) let's just be...
Thank you so much! yes, I am trying to be a "perfect vegan". I need to be okay with not being perfect all the time - but in the future I will be more cautious with what I ask my mom to buy.
I'm Vegan (well, technically vegetarian right now - but that's a long story) for the animals and I don't EVER EVER EVER want to give it up.
but I've been doing some research and I just found out about bone char in sugar, and how many of the foods I was going to consume (AKA candy for a...
PPS. I'm praying for your recovery - you sound like such a beautiful person!
remember you are worth so so so much more than a jean size, or waist measurement, or number on a scale.
Again, I won't pretend I'm perfect with this but i'm praying one day we will both be able to say
I BEAT ANOREXIA...
Hi, I used to have anorexia too. I told my parents I wanted to go vegan but they said (and I do quote) "Nope. Not happening in this house." They were (100% understandably) afraid my wish to go vegan was an offshoot of anorexia.
However, I persisted. I gave them facts about how vegans can meet...
