Software Adobe Flash

I am having tremendous trouble with the "Adobe Flash" application.

I have gotten several warnings, like, "Foxfire has blocked the obsolete version of Adobe Flash from working."
So then I try to download and install the latest version. I have tried this more than once, but it fails to install.

Any ideas on what to do? Must I have the latest version of Firefox installed first in order to install Adobe Flash?

I was reading an article yesterday about Firefox now blocking all existing versions of the Adobe flash plugin. Coincidentally, Firefox informed me it was blocking a flash animation on that very same page

I think the term "blocking" is a bit ambiguous, because Firefox was only conditionally blocking Adobe Flash, i.e., it had buttons/options allowing you to "opt out" of the blocking. But I just installed the latest version of Firefox, so maybe those options have been eliminated.

Thanks, BC. Any advice on what to do? Some of sites just won't work if you don't have the latest Adobe Flash player installed.

I guess the only thing I can suggest is to try a different Web browser, and instal the latest version of Flash.

I got a warning message from Norton Antivirus today about Adobe Flash. It suggested I turn it off. So I did, at least in Firefox.
