An app that helps with sufficient intake of complete protein
Hi!
My brother and I have spent some time developing an app designed to help users ensure they’re getting a sufficient intake of complete protein in their diet, plant-based or not.
During my 11 years as a vegetarian, I often felt some concern about whether I was meeting all my body’s nutritional needs, especially on days when I ate only plant-based foods and engaged in intense physical training.
So, we developed an app tailored for vegans, vegetarians, people enjoying meat-free days, athletes with high protein demands, or those transitioning to or interested in a plant-based diet. It’s also for anyone who wants to eat in a more climate-conscious way.
With the help of this app, users can easily see whether their diet meets the recommended levels of essential amino acids as outlined by the WHO for a healthy protein intake. These calculations are personalized based on factors such as weight, age, activity level, and more.
By inputting what you’ve eaten or plan to eat, the app analyzes the amino acid levels in your current or planned meals and provides suggestions on how to complement your diet to get high levels of complete protein and to meet your nutritional needs in the best possible way.
We hope this app helps anyone curious or even worried about their intake of well-balanced protein, as well as those looking for a cost-effective method to consume adequate protein without relying heavily on often expensive protein supplements.
The app is available for both iOS and Android and can be downloaded here:
Or links directly to App store and Google play:
The first week is free, and after that, it costs $0.99 USD per month. We chose to keep the price low to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from the app and find support for any protein-related questions or concerns.
We hope that no one using this app ever has to worry about their protein intake again!
