a good news bad news scenario - I never ever wish for a person to lose their job or pension and yet it is such good news that demand for dairy is falling... I can only hope that the company will find a way to transition or sell itself to someone that will and that more wealth and health will be created instead

One of America's oldest and largest milk producers files for bankruptcy

Borden Dairy Co., one of America's oldest and largest dairy companies, on Monday became the second major milk producer to file for bankruptcy in the last two months.

Having now read the article, my jaded, cynical self thinks this is a lot more about shedding pension obligations than Borden selling less milk and cheese. However, I agree that it's good bad news for the cows.
