Security Beware of files like firefox-patch.exe

I've received several files in the past few days called firefox-patch.exe or something similar. How I got them is beyond me. Norton zapped one of these, and I just deleted a second.

Never run or install one of these files. It is some sort of malware and will infect your system. Mozilla.org never updates or patches Firefox with an .exe file.

If you are running Firefox and want to update it to the most recent version, using the Firefox menu click on Help and then About Firefox. This will produce a pop-up window with a button to click to update Firefox to the most recent version.

There is a lot of ransom-ware going around recently, apparently, according to what I've read.

Just to provide a visual to Joe's OP. It also includes a full size Firefox logo when it pops up (usually in a separate tab) that I couldn't copy here. the host site seems to change every time I get this.
