UK Christmas is coming, and abattoirs face serious staff shortages

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. But this year, there might not be anyone to kill her. As British families start to plan their festive dinners of turkey and pigs in blankets, there is a crisis in the meat industry.

I've read a couple articles recently focusing on the 'emotional toll' of working in an abattoir.

So apparently the reason for the lack of workers is due to immigrants leaving (or not coming) because of a weak pound (and presumably ongoing fears about job stability given Brexit).

So, I think those who are responsible for this situation, Brexiteer meat eaters, should be made to kill their Christmas dinner or go vegetarian. Who's with me.
