Some people believe all creatures deserve respect(including insects). Some people make many decisions based on animal rights(which politician to vote for, how many children to have, etc.). Some may even buy organic even if they're poor. Animal rights is a big part of their life to near the point of obsession. Do you know any person(including yourself) who may be this way?

Organic doesn't translate to pro animal rights. For example, bone meal is a prime organic fertilizer. (If you're not aware, bone meal consists of ground up bones and other animal parts that aren't usable for human food.)

I think that an important aspect that has been left out of the opening post is how much work one does to actually help animals. Not doing things (not eating meat, not buying animal products, etc.) is pretty easy, as is voting for Candidate A rather than Candidate B. The amount of your own personal resources, in terms of time, work and money that you put towards helping nonhumans is a significant component of how pro animal rights you are. Talk is cheap.

Organic is much less likely to use pesticides. Pesticides are causing many problems to wild animals. So, yeah, I would consider it an animal rights issue.

I don't drive very often, but even I have run over frogs. Every human, in some way or another, has likely caused suffering to some other species at some point. Therefore, other than possibly diet, the best thing you can do for other species is not to have children.

As far as money goes, usually you don't know for certain what a charity does with money you give them. Of course there are other issues that I didn't put down, but I wasn't planning to give every example.

My aunt is a P

Yes, my aunt is a big PETA/AR person. Her life revolves around animals, She has about a dozen dogs and cats in her house and she spends a fortune on them, which she really can't afford.
Tell her she's wonderful.

Each person goes about things in his own way. I don't think I will have house pets anymore, for many reasons that I can't even clearly work out in my own head. My real passion is for the millions of doomed pigs, chickens, cows, turkeys, and sheep.
