I was tired and it was kind of cold, so I didn't try to stay awake and go out between 12 and 3 AM. I'd heard that although the Leonids aren't that numerous, they can be slow and kind of bright. They were expecting an unusually high number of bright fireballs too- evidently that happens roughly every 10 years and we were due.

Sorry! But evidently we didn't miss much. I googled over the past day or two to see what people's experiences were as they were watching it, and I didn't find any "OH WOW, THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING METEOR SHOWER!" posts. All I found was news reports before the shower about how this past Wednesday morning was supposed to be worth getting up for, and a couple of items afterward about how the night was a disappointment.

I wanted to in the worst way, as I enjoy meteor showers so much, but the clouds were rolling in before the peak time. Also, it was very cold, so I'm not sure I would have gone out even if the skies had cooperated.
