Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a new dining table and have been drawn to the unique beauty of live edge designs. However, I'm a bit unsure about a few things and would love some advice from those who have experience with them.

Firstly, how durable are Live Edge Dining Tables, especially in terms of everyday use and maintenance? Also, I'm curious about the best wood types for longevity and aesthetics. Finally, any recommendations on reputable sellers or things to watch out for when purchasing one would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I've seen local woodworkers sell these, often custom made. No difference in maintainence that I've heard of-they have the same finishing as others. You're getting a table where the edges are left alone rather than cut to be symmetrical. Sometimes the bark is left on, often its routed and sanded, keeping the natural edge.
Much pricier since they're not standardized
