How easy would it be to build a 3D model of a town, by flying some of these drones over it, just using a video camera?
Could Google have something similar to Google Street View, except using a 3D model? May be, I wondered, it would be too much processing power for people's devices; so perhaps the bulk of the processing could be done by the Google computers,and all that would be sent down the line would be the end pictures.
People could navigate through the 3D environment over towns, and eventually everywhere.
