While it's sad that he lost his life, I have to wonder if he knew how foolish it can be for a person to go alone into Death Valley during the summer. Since he died of heat stroke, I doubt he was fully prepared for triple degree temperatures. (And even if he WAS prepared for the extreme heat, the temperature can plummet really low and really fast when the sun goes down.)
