Just came here to say hello and that I am a vegan trauma therapist and have been a therapist for 5 years and a vegan for 2. I have a Facebook community that supports the emotional wellness of vegans as we fight for innocent animals and understand how difficult it is to live and exist in a carnist society. Self-care is super important when living life vegan and I am looking forward to hearing from new people. I think animal rights work, while rewarding can take a toll on our mental health. I think existing as a vegan in a carnist world is inherently difficult due to the amount of mental gymnastics carnists must do to make sense of their behavior and exploitation of the animals. I love Plants, have chickens as beloved family members, and dogs and cats and 3 kids!
