There could be so many reasons why people want to reduce or remove dairy product in their diet. Reasons such as animal cruelty, allergy, weight loss and health issues as dairy products as we all know are high in fat. For me, I just can’t take it. It smells so awful and it makes me nauseous. :sob:

I love cooking, and I am actually the chef :chef:at home, so it is really a challenge for me to go dairy free. There are so many recipes that include dairy ingredients but I found alternatives to replace dairy products in my cooking. I consider soya milk a better option, it has mild flavor compare to milk though it has a fair taste similar to dairy. There are also soya-based cheese and spread available in large supermarkets.

As much as possible, I want to live dairy-free life. I tried looking for alternatives for dairy products and I actually found an article stating that dairy products technically refer to products that are made from cow’s milk. So does this mean that products from goat’s and sheep’s milk aren’t Dairy?

I gather that you are in the UK. The above is an interesting question as many omnis who are milk (cow's) intolereant often consume goat's milk and products.

The definition of Dairy is : a product which is food produced from the milk of mammals.

In the UK you have a vast choice of vegan milk ; oat, soya, almond, hazelnut. Soya and Oatly cream are widely available and there are many choices of vegan cheeses in either supermarkets or at H&B. Non dairy butter also is a wonderful products for bakes.
Have you ever tried Oatly cream ? I find that it tastes far superior to soya cream.

Oatly is a Swedish firm and their products are outstanding. I really like the taste and texture of Oatly cream.

I don't know where you are located, as the products are not available in the US, only in Canada.

There we go then ...

I'm off to milk my herd of duck billed platypus's.

Good luck !

I got some platypus milk once, and I said to the milkman at the end of the week, 'what's the bill?' and he said 'it's the rubbery beak think on the front of the platypus's head..'.
