Last Holocaust Survivor dies at 110

I don't think she was the last Holocaust survivor - just the oldest.

I have to say that the people who survived the camps and went on to live more or less normal lives - the sheer tenacity of their spirits is truly impressive. If I had been in that situation, I think I would just have curled up inside myself and hoped to die sooner rather than later.

I agree, the title is misleading. It should be edited, as she was the oldest or among the oldest of the survivors, not the last.

It seems unbelievable to me that she showed no bitterness towards the Nazis, as many other survivors do, or did. What the Nazis did to her and her family and to millions of other people is unspeakable, and left a lot of anger, bitterness and hate in their wake. Maybe she realized that carrying those negative emotions around for the rest of her life would make her an awful person, so she decided to only stay positive instead.

I think that she is probably the survivor who was interviewed on public radio some years ago, an interview I never forgot. She was so full of life and love, and that came through so clearly in her voice. I was humbled by the greatness of her spirit.

ETA: After watching one of the videos, she's definitely the same woman whose interview made such a lasting impression on me.

Agreed. Her positivity was so impressive and admirable.
