TV & Film Movie Lounge

Recently I've watched

Boys Don't Cry (thumbs up)
Torch Song Trilogy (meh)
Transamerica (thumbs up)
The International (meh)
The Broken Hearts Club (meh)

Jack Reacher. I found it meh. It was basically Tom Cruise wanking off over how awesome he was alongside a storyline that couldve been plucked straight off Law and Order.

^^^I find Tom Cruise meh most of the time, anyway. My dad has read the Jack Reacher books and he says Cruise is miscast mostly because the character is this big burly tall guy. He just can't picture Cruise in the role.

I want to see Django Unchained, but my friend who just saw it says it's 2 hours and 45 minutes long. I hate it when movies exceed two hours or so, so I'm debating about seeing this one. Perhaps I'll just rent it.

BF liked it. I did not go because of how long it was also.

If a movie is good I don't care how long it is. But I tend to not watch the long ones more than once...

I would like to watch Django Unchained.

My sister and I went to see The Guilt Trip starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen. It was a cute little comedy with some touching moments. I liked it!

I actually quite enjoyed Jack Reacher. Mindless action movies are not really my bag but it was good as far as they go. It never would've been my choice to watch it but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting!

Can't wait to see The Hobbit. No one else is interested in seeing it with me though. :(

My Mum would like to see Les Mis so we will be going along to see that when it's showing. :)

Also watched Adventureland on a whim on Netflix & found it kinda great.

Last night I watched Jurassic Park and Predators. I had seen both before but I enjoyed them again. Adrien Brody.<3 Jurassic Park III is on today, I don't know why they didn't show the second one, unless I missed it somehow.

Loved Attack the Block.

I wondered if non-UK people would find the language hard to understand. I liked it too, I was pleasantly surprised.:)

I think I just get antsy after a two hours in the theater. :D

I found that so shocking. What did you think?

Just saw an advert for another film by him, in which he follows other people's online relationship stories - they are just a few of the people that got in touch with him after seeing Catfish.

It was alright. I didn't find it surprising at all, but I also read spoilers. I think I would've figured it out anyways even if I hadn't though. That scenario happens so much in real life and really not all that uncommon.

He actually has a MTV show now with the same concept: http://www.mtv.com/shows/catfish/series.jhtml
