TV & Film Movie Lounge

Wow, I didn't realize that anyone was bothering with the Paranormal sequel movies. :p

:D I like to be scared so I have watched them all so far.:)

I didn't bother watching the Saw films although they seemed to be popular.

Even if I wasn't a total movie gore wimp I wouldn't bother with Saw. I've heard that the first movie was a good psychological thriller but they just degenerated into torture porn with no discernible reason for even continuing the storyline.

Also, I'm not sure if I'd find any of the Paranormal Activity movies scary. Isn't it basically just rehashed "footage" of doors opening and closing and fires starting on a budget of like $1500?

The films I watched last night were quite rubbish and not at all frightening.:fp: Sinister didn't even make much sense. I liked the first three Paranormal films, that is the type of horror that I am creeped out by the most.

I've heard the first Saw is scary but someone annoying told me the ending of the film so I didn't bother watching it after that.

I really enjoyed some films lately, which is great because I've been having some bad luck with them recently. So, All About My Mother, My Neighbour Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle were brilliant. Women on The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown was good but not my favourite Almodovar. The Singer was depressing, I didn't like it much. A Winter's Tale was annoying. Tales From Earthsea was pretty terrible but I liked it anyway.

Oh I quite enjoyed A Dangerous Method as well. I liked the scenes where Freud and Jung were writing angry letters to each other going 'you're stupid!' 'no YOU'RE stupid!'

Saw Django last week. First thing on the end credits after Quentin Tarrentino's name was the info explaining no horses were harmed in the making of the movie. Was good to see it appearing so early in the credit list xxx

Frankenweenie! I really liked it.

I need to see that eventually.

I've seen that at the end of several movies but I always remain skeptical after reading so many horror stories.

Marathon of all three Back to the Future movies. They were somehow all good.

I don't know how I liked them so much, it was pretty much the same 10 jokes and bad cliches rehashed over and over and over again. But somehow it was consistently funny and fun to watch.

Such great movies! Although I'm kinda ****** that none of those things (flying cars, hoverboards, self drying clothes, etc) haven't been invented yet.

TWO YEARS. Science needs to hurry the hell up!

(Though it's okay if we don't worry about the holographic Nintendo 64-style movie advertisements. And please no Jaws 19, 2-4 were bad enough)
