TV & Film Movie Lounge

Oh man, there's this one fleeting moment in it - best thing I've ever seen in a film. Lemme know when you've seen it.

I'll put what I think the moment is in spoilers tags:
In the bookstore when Celine appears?

Started to watch 50/50. I didn't get very far into it. I want to watch it and understand what all the hype is about, but it's just way too depressing.

Aw. :( I didn't find it to be a downer, and some of the moments with his ******* friend were super touching. :smitten:

Just watched Cloud Atlas. It was... Kind of confusing. Pretty, and, I think, meaningful, but hard to keep straight, and much sadder than I expected.

50/50 is so depressing but it makes you laugh at the same time. Much emotion confusion.

Keep being told I'll love Cloud Atlas!

No, though that is pretty great.
In the taxi, when she wants to touch his head and she extends her arm, but he turns and she retracts. It was perfect. It said so much and it was but a moment's screen time.

Ah, yes, that was beautifully acted. So natural.

We watched Blue Valentine the other night. Very good, but depressing.

Ryan Gosling is just ridiculously attractive. GOSH.

I had no idea... :???:

Yeah, that's the kind of ridiculously obscure trivia that my brain tends to hold onto. Because his Oz books were so popular, author L. Frank Baum decided to establish a movie studio and film his Oz books. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0004099/combined

Of course with sound, Hollywood saw the opportunity to refilm the first book in glorious color (and sepia for the Kansas scenes) and some catchy songs. It was a good idea. :D

I just watched Django Unchained the Quentin Tarantino film.I didn't recognise Samuel Jackson at first but then I heard his voice and knew it was him.I thought it was ok about the same as his other movies.I think hes good to watch if you like your movies really cheesy.:D

I just watched the animated movie Hotel Transylvania on Video on Demand, and liked it. I thought it was lots of fun. Apparently there's a sequel coming in 2015.

Identity Thief
It had some funny moments and was somewhat predictable yet enjoyable.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that Melissa McCarthy has a tendency to pick movie roles where she plays an obnoxious and annoying character . I also don't like how most of these roles always address her weight and size.
