UK No Make-up Selfie

So, for an unknown reason, people have been using social media to post pictures of themselves with no-make up on, along with calls to raise awareness for cancer and cancer research.

The original link between the selfies and cancer awareness is unclear (the pictures originally weren't linked to cancer awareness) but nonetheless cancer research UK has received more than £1million since Wednesday.

That's so true. It's annoying.

I remember once reading a quote from a male Hollywood makeup artist who said that there was only one actress he worked on (I can't remember her name) who he thought was "naturally" beautiful and didn't need makeup to look attractive, but with all the other women he'd ever worked on, all of them needed "help". This quote dates from (I think) the 1970's, so it's disturbing that this attitude still prevails in the 21st century.

Yes, that is what I first thought as I don't give money to animal testing charities either.
