Possible new poultry inspection policy in US

It is disgusting. I can not understand why anyone would risk eating a factory farmed/processed chicken.

Geeze - if you shouldn't drink pool water, why in the world would it be ok to rinse chicken in chlorine?!?

It's bewildering to me what people are okay with eating..

No kidding! Peta has posted a picture on FB of a slab of meat with a huge glob of pus running out of it. Apparently it was an abscess. Revolting.

Oh god I saw that floating around FB. Although I hate Peta with a passion, I gotta say if I saw that pic as on omni I would go veg asap and not look back.

Unfortunately the majority don't ! A person who is an animal lover said to me, that she prefers to turn a blind eye to what goes on in Factory farms !o_O

Oh yeah I've heard that excuse before.

That PETA pic of the oozing tumor though is just beyond repulsive. It seems like it would be a slap of reality for some people. Maybe make them finally realize that eating flesh is disgusting. I really don't see a difference between animal flesh and human flesh and that pic reinforces my that thought.

I don't say anything as it's usually people who don't want to face the facts. You never win in the long run. :(

I get the impression they aren't actually looking for someone to inspect anything, just someone to sign a paper so they can legally refer to it as having been inspected. It's all about efficiency. Just another product to get from the factory to the store with as little interference as possible.
