It's more sinister than that. All those stories about UFO sightings, alien abductions, implants, cow mutilations and car engines mysteriously cutting out when UFOs passed overhead - those UFOs were in reality hi-tech military aircraft, and the crews were testing new military technology, sometimes on their own populations (and cow populations) under the guise of being extraterrestrials. The persistence of the myth about aliens visiting our planet is in their interest, so they are only too happy to support this myth whenever they can.

Yep, I've read Keel, Vallee etc etc sine 1970s so I know about the Military using the UFOs story to cover up everything from the U2 to the Stealth fighter to satellite retrivals. Cattle mutilations are an interesting topic - Gabe Valdez did a lot of research before he passed away, There seem to be 2 sorts of UFO - man made and a weird high energy glowing object that effects people's perception.
