Time for the spring exchange, folks! I enjoyed the reusable bag theme we had once, and would love to do it again. What say ye? OR does anyone have an idea for a different theme?

After thinking about it for a couple minutes, I've decided that I'd like to do a reusable bags swap instead of the usual goodies and gimcracks. For one thing, the last time there was a bag swap, I didn't participate and I regretted it. For the second thing, it takes some of the pressure off coming up with the right kind of goodies and gimcracks the recipients would like. For the third thing, reusable bags aren't super expensive, and throwing a nice assortment of them into a box would keep down the cost of the Spring Exchange and make it more attractive to those who might otherwise sit it out because of the cost of the exchange. There is also the option of throwing a couple of other items into the box if you know what your exchange-mate would like.

Since I had a mishap the last few months resulting also with moving from the winter exchange package, I am thinking of something to get that is lighter and simpler for the spring, I like the reusable bag thing we are collecting them as we use them for shopping now…

Yes! Treats are so much fun,and there are tons of cute and inexpensive reusable bags to be found! How about a reusable bag or two (or three) with a few snack items,etc..
like Amy suggested. I think that's the way it was done the last time.

This looks good but i am not going to sign up this time, its been like pulling teeth with my spouse to send the winter exchange to mine…

Well, we need fresh, ah, blood in our seasonal swaps. Let's get this promoted to everyone on the board! Encourage everyone to consider participating in it! It needn't cost a fortune to take part.

If you can't guarantee that you will be able to follow through then it's a wise choice not to participate this time. It's really not fair at all to the person you are matched with.

yes understand that much life gets in a way and when I signed up in November wasn't thinking that we would find a house three weeks later in another state and relocation… This was out of my control, I have the stuff but having trouble with the shipping…

What are the deadlines for this, signing up and shipping?

I'd like to participate, but I'm looking for a job and place to move to by the end of the month. I'm worried I won't have time to look around for the perfect bags and goodies.

I'm not worried about that, it would definitely get sent on time. I just want to make sure I'd have enough time to look around for the good stuff. :D
