I thought I'd post this because the deadline for this year's entries (Friday, 19 December 2014) is coming up.

As noted on the page, works created by those working for animal welfare/rights/protection are not eligible, but I'm certain there is still plenty to choose from.
Entries from outside the US may be submitted; if from non-English-speaking countries, obviously they should include some form of English translation. Works can be aimed at adults, children, or families. Examples would be a news documentary on factory farming, a song or concept album about the protection of nature, a television series episode that teaches children to be kind to animals, or a serious movie that delves into how humans treat captured wild animals.
Anyone anywhere can submit entries.
