I never thought this song would ever be as relevant again now as it was when it was written. Minnesota has now become the 12th state to legitimize same sex unions. It's a long way from 50 states, but the tide seems to be turning that way. I may not see 50 states in my lifetime, but I do believe it will happen eventually.

However, there are still a lot of people who oppose gay marriage and many of them are actively working to keep it from becoming the law of the entire land, and overturn it in states where it is now legal. They do not want the times to be a-changin', but revertin'. So there is a fight going on in the US about it.

Who will win?

I think the pro-marriage equality side will win out eventually, mostly because I still have a shred of faith in humanity.

Demographics assure it will change, the younger crowd is much more open to this change, they will eventually replace and then outnumber those opposed. I really have no doubt about this.

That was my first thought as well since he's been in the news lately.

I really hope things keep changing for the better, but after this past Presidential election I'm still a bit nervous .
