I wonder what happens if you can't recharge the given laptop or i phone before embarkation ?

I wouldn't panic ...

While back I sat an airport security test (GSAT) and was told this:

Staff manning airport x-ray machines are trained to recognise a number of standard objects; Bombs, AK47's etc ..

Airport regularly spot-tests them by hiding exact replicas of bombs, Ak47's, etc, in luggage on regular flights.

Failure rate to detect these exact replicas, I was told, is around 80%.

Statisticaly around only 1 in 5 of iphones/whatever will ever get detected at all.

When I said "don't panic" I probably should have said "TAKE THE BOAT! TAKE THE BOAT!"
