Is vacuum blending really that much better than normal blending?

There don't seem to be that many vacuum mixers/systems on the market, so vacuum mixing is obviously not that popular.

When your old blender breaks you should at least consider it.
I hardly ever use anything but my Rocket. and I don't keep stuff that I blend for very long. The rocket is single servings.
But I'm intrigued by the Joydeem VK-1802.

Yes, that exactly is what I am doing now after my blender / faulty construction just broke unfortunately after 2½ years. But vacuum mixing doesn't seem to be that common in general.

I am not quite sure, if I understand correctly, but vacuum blending is not meant to keep stuff but to get much less air / oxidation to the food while mixing. So that is supposed to keep the aromas, more nutrients and there obviously are other benefits.

Yes, it has very good features. The reviews may not be optimal. I could imagine that the engine's power might not be quite enough, just as they should be with a so-called high-performance mixer.

Well, maybe it's me that is misunderstanding, but I was under the impression that by reducing oxidation the blended food would last longer.

wait...
ah here it is.
Manufacturers claim, " Your healthy smoothie stays fresher throughout the day thanks to vacuum blending technology. It prevents oxidation and seals in nutrients so you can savor a healthy recipe that’s as fresh as you made it."

I never heard of vacuum blending...

Edited to add: I am intrigued.

Ah, yes, I see, sorry. I wouldn't have even thought of such a perspective in this context. I thought it meant to be about preserving food (there are systems like that) by vacuum sealing it to preserve food for weeks/months by removing air, which obviously works very well.

Yes, if only one could believe these claims.

I could believe it might reduce oxidation. But I cannot believe it will prevent it.

For some people that might sound like a lie (see your great links above). But it at least is misleading, I would think.

I couldn't find more (more or less) "independent" information. Besides of some of these (quite long) videos, which might be / seem to be quite reliable:

Yes, you are right anyway, the vacuum mixed food lasts longer than not vacuum mixed food. Because of the less air in the mixture obviously. So probably the same / similar effect as drying.

So generally vacuum blending seems to be very good (for at least some kind of food).

sort of a related concept

skepticism? yes!

an exageration?

Fo me not so important. typically I drink my blended drinks within a few minutes. but in the past I might take a smoothie with me to work. when I packed a post workout smoothie I would freeze it the night before.

I did watch a couple of videos. the one with the blended apples made a strong case for.

Yes, the same with me. But it's not primarily about durability, I would say and not only about smoothies, but for many other mxitures as well. The biggest advantages are said to be taste/preservation of aromas, better preservation of nutrients (everything for drinking immediately after mixing), less or none bloating, etc. The shelf life is perhaps a good side effect (I certainly would not need).

Yes, the same is shown in one of the videos above with tomatoes, if I remember correctly.
