I'm on two different antibiotics that I know will cause the yeasties!
The veg probiotics like Goodbelly are too expensive.
I'm really confused about fermented foods. Are they probiotic, or yeasty?
Should I eat sauerkraut?
Or are there any that aren't so expensive?

It depends upon if you consider lactobacillus vegan. It is grown on a dairy medium, but the bacteria doesn't contain actual dairy. If you are okay with lactobacillus, you can find pretty cheap pills. If not, your options are limited and more expensive.

If you do take a probiotic, take it at least an hour before or after taking your antibiotic doses, or the antibiotic will kill the probiotics before they can work. Acidic foods are good, sugar bad for discouraging yeast growth. I've read things about a garlic clove in cheesecloth and, um, inserted, but that's a treatment for yeast rather than a prevent, and idk anyway!

Fermented foods are said to work, but I read an article once, and it seemed really complicated balancing things.

Well, I just made a new product that is a probiotic, dairy-free yogurt that you make at home. Super easy and like nothing else out there. In fact, you can choose your sugar and make it as acidic or not as you'd like. Rusty p.s. oops, this looks like an old thread...
