Vegetarian and vegan hangover foods and drinks

I've never been drunk so I've never had a hangover, but I think I would crave a hummus falafel pita sandwich.

Heavy, greasy foods when I'm hungover just make me feel worse. I have absolutely no idea why greasy foods are always recommended, if I already feel like ****, why would I deliberately make myself feel worse??

For food I just want something bland, like toast or rice or a plain baked potato, and water water water.

That sounds like an excellent idea.

These days I don't need to get particularly drunk in order to enjoy a hangover, apparently.

Oh goodness, it's been forever since I've been hungover but I'd generally want whatever anyone else is making plus the much needed water. Lots of fresh fruit if no one else will cook for me.

I haven't been hungover in years, I used to always drink off a hangover (not recommended), or eat really bland foods - muesli or toast. I can't understand eating greasy food during a hangover, I tried it, it made me very sick.

Salty potatoes in some form (baked, fried, etc) and a giant coke or ginger ale with ice. I don't drink soda or get hangovers very often these days lol. Oh, and a stomach acid reduction pill.

I totally adhere to the greasy foods remedy. (Hey, it always works for me.) My specialty is a veganized taylor-ham sandwhich, using Yves deli slices sauteed crispy in olive oil with some coriander n curry tofu (also sauteed) topped off with melted Daiya cheese. Put on a toasted bagel with chipolte veganaise and / or ketchup or both, you're hungover - and you don't care. Hash browns on the side, black as midnight coffee and a large cup of ice-cold water.

This should be followed by a long nap with your katz on a comfy couch; the TV on some old Vincent Price B horror movie...my friends - you are on your way to starting all over again in a few hours!

I don't get hangovers but bad migraines even after one drink. I always eat carbs ; usually boiled potatoes or rice.

^ I second the beans on toast. And Fanta (now it is vegetarian again I can suggest that yay). And a **** ton of water.

I dont tend to get bad hangovers, as I learnt a while ago what makes me feel worst - and just dont drink it. If I stick to beer, Southern comfort and Amaretto I feel a lot better than if I'd drunk Vodka. Or worse, Gin. Uegh. I cant even sit upright I have such a bad headache after Gin. Would be mad to drink it knowing that!

Peanut butter on toast and a big mug of tea..tried and tested many times during my wilder days ..never fails

This. I mostly want toast or Italian bread with some Earth Balance or plain pasta.

THIS!!! I have a bad habit of not wanting to eat when I'm hung over as I'm not hungry when I feel like **** (or scared ill get sick) but I make toast, baked/mashed potatoes, etc.
