So apparently we're gunna be hot with 100 days of snow :-/

If this is the case, I'm going to need some wellies.

I saw some Hunter ones in TK Maxx yday for £50. I've heard that these wellies last easily 10 years so seems worth that money (that's half price - wouldn't pay full amount).

My wonder is...is it just a brand, or do I look as though I'm supporting certain country activities?? Xxx

I had to google them as I've never heard of the brand. They look like very sturdy boots for bad weather and you always get some good bargains at TK Maxx. They cost €109 on-line over here :

Different people will probably answer that question differently.

Maybe you can just scratch out the brand name, or use some spray paint, or put a sticker over it or something. Or even remove the label completely.

Btw, if you really want quality wellies, you should of course get Viking wellies from Norway :) ("Viking" is a brand name.)

When I see someone wearing Hunter wellies, I dont think they're a hunter I just think they're mad for spending £100 on wellies. haha. It is a pretty well known brand so most people would just think that. You could always get some wellie socks and fold them over the top so they cover the logo? (http://images.ethicalsuperstore.com/images/WELLY-SOCKS.jpg like this) Mine are from Tesco, they probably wont last more than a few years but I cant bring myself to splash out any more.

I agree with SR.I love that brand of boots but I don't think I'd pay that much unless I got extra cash from somewhere.I just got something similar(much less) though so I hope the ones I got hold out for a least a couple of winters.I don't worry too much about snow here but sometimes it rains quite a bit(probably nothing like in the UK) but that was why I wanted them.

Most my friends have had hunter wellies for a few years now (I'm far too frugal to pay £100 for wellies when I can pay £4 in primark, they're going to get nibbled by dogs at the rspca anyway) and they seem to be holding up to various drunken festivals, dog walking etc. So seem quite a good investment
I think the hunter thing is just a brand, I would feel comfortable wearing them
