I'm sorry if this was posted already...I'm a noob!

It's the type of photo that you have to take a double take and hope it is an internet hoax.

It's sad, but we found out this story circulating on Facebook this past weekend is true. Someone was actually driving down I-95 at 70 mph from at least Georgia into South Carolina with a dog in an open airline crate attached to a cargo holder on the back of a large SUV.

I saw that on FB too. My reaction is/was, "what the flip is wrong with some people?!?"

Absolute garbage!:mad:Those people should be put in a small box on a 95*F degree day with no water and towed down the road with dental floss.

WTF? I wish the outcome was mentioned and there was verification that the driver was pulled over and charged with animal cruelty. It sickens me to know that he got so far without being stopped.

Suprising as it seems, the driver was not charged with animal cruelty. He is obviously mental for towing a dog in a crate on a motorway. Just think of what would have happened if the crate got detached................

"Highway Patrol spokespeople said that no citations were given because the responding trooper and another officer from Ridgeland Police said the dog got out of its cage, and was running around, drinking water and was healthy. They saw no reason to punish its owners."

WTF???

"I'm sure there are plenty of animal rights groups that would not agree with that, it's certainly probably not the safest place for your pet to be, but there is no law for that. If somebody chooses to do that, they are allowed to do that," said Cpl. Bill Rhyne, with South Carolina's Highway Patrol.

Again wtf!! *******.

From the looks of the photo, it appears the dog was very close to the exhaust pipe. So not only exposure to heat and the danger of the road, but also direct exposure to carbon monoxide.

What I don't understand, is if people don't care about their pets, why do they have them?

Yes, someone has to act immediately and do something.
