125 g spelt or wholemeal flour (plain can be substitued)
1 tsp of baking powder
125 g All Bran ( Asda's is Vegan)
75 g muscovado sugar
125 g raisins and sultanas
75 ml cold Early Grey tea
75 ml non dairy milk
a pinch of salt
Place the All bran, fruit, sugar into a bowl. Add the tea and milk and leave to stand for approx 30 mins.
Sift the flour, salt and baking powder and add to the bran mixture. Stir well.
Turn into a greased and lined 500 g (1 1b) loaf tin. Bake oven 180 °C for 50 mins. Test with a skewer to
be sure that the loaf is cooked.
Cool on a wire rack.
