Crochet

I made this doily, but I used a thicker cotton yarn because I haven't worked with thin crochet thread in a really long time. It measures about 12 1/2 inches across. The pattern is by Jayda InStitches. I might make a few more and then maybe try the thinner thread for a smaller one, but I kind of like the size of this one. Also, I will need to block it to get it nice and flat. I thought the heart in the center was cute.

Thank you! They are such fun to make. I've made four more, and I'm getting better at stitching the eyes.

I crocheted an ear "muff" (?) to tie under my chin
I dislike the headband style cause they creep up on my head and expose my ear lobes. Hats are too hot.
I wish I had directions on making it the long way. I had to make it up as I went along, didn't realize how much it shrank from the chain stitch, or how to round off the ends. Hope I still have the purpley multicolored yarn I had

That is cute! I remember having that style as a kid. It definitely stays in place better than the headband style.

When I do a long-way project, I often start with a hook that's one up from what the project calls for and then switch to the smaller hook once I start the pattern. I think for the ends, you would need to increase for a couple of rows and then decrease for a couple, probably at both ends. I would need instructions for that as well.
