I was surprised by that.

Clairol is not cruelty-free. They may test on animals, either themselves, through their suppliers, or through a third party. Brands who fall under this category could also be selling products where animal testing is required by law.

I don't think I saw anyone mention PHB for skincare and makeup- they are a superb small company, excellent products and ethics. Also for vegan, cruelty free skincare products is Face Theory. They are both UK based.

Sephora`s own brand is NOT cruelty free. As it`s a French owned company, this may be the reason why.
