Anyone else vote in the US elections yet? I voted early today with Mr ledboots, and it was pretty convenient, waited about 15 minutes. The ballot was 3 pages long, front and back, thanks to the *11* constitutional amendments. We have the paper kind with bubble in ovals, like the SAT. The poll lady said early turnout has been off the charts this year.

I went to early voting on Wednesday early afternoon. There was a line outside the library and when you got inside you took a number and sat down and waited. I waited an hour and 15 minutes. My ballot was just like yours ledboots. They expect HUGE lines today.

I'll be voting on Tuesday in the morning and then driving up to my mom's place to take her to her polling place. The woman has Alzheimer's and I'm sure there are folks who feel that her vote shouldn't count, but she definitely knows who she wants to support, and voting is something that allows her to feel like she is still a contributing member of society.

I did! I went on the 23rd, which was the second day of early voting here. I think it took me about fifteen minutes start to finish, and most of that was the check-in process.
In Kansas, you have to "register" for early voting, (separate from registering to vote) so they have people there to complete that for you. I had already looked up the sample ballot online, so I knew what to expect. We only had one constitutional amendment to vote on.

The guy who took me over to the voting machine started a spiel about how the amendment thing was really long, and the machine might go to sleep while I was reading it. I made a joke about how I had already looked it up, and it was SOOOOOO long, and everyone around glared at me. When I got to the amendment, it was indeed three pages long! I finished before the people on either side of me, both of whom were already there when I started.

I voted Thursday. The ballot was like yours, with the ovals to fill in, but it was only a page and a half. No wait, even though there are only spots for two people to vote at a time, and only one polling place for the whole county. The joys of living in a rural area.

I voted on Thursday, in east-bumble-**** Tennessee where my vote doesn't count.

We voted at a library that's not our usual polling place (the Cuban-American Club, I kid you not, lol) and they swiped my drivers license, and the machine printed out the appropriate local ballot. I preferred the computer voting machines they wasted millions on and then trashed the very next election cycle.

I voted this week, too! I signed up for permanent vote by mail status, partly for the convenience and partly to avoid the stress of in-person voting. So I mailed my ballot on Tuesday. I hope there are no "postal delays" warned about on the envelope. :(

No early voting here, I have to wait until Tuesday. :(

We have an interesting assortment of propositions this year. Some serious ones dealing with the death penalty, human trafficking and the three strikes law. We have one requiring GMO food labeling, which Monsanto and Dow are fighting like you wouldn't believe. Supposedly, if it passes (and it's expected to). other states are going to follow, but if it losses, it's pretty much dead everywhere.

I was about to post, hey! same as in California! and then I realized you live in California, too. :p

The ad campaigns for No on 37 are pretty outrageous... :(

Yeah, the chemical, agriculture and food companies have spent over 40 million to fight it, while the groups for it, only have around 5-6 million to spend. :(

I have a postal vote too, it means I can vote on behalf of my husband as he is always too lazy to go to the polling station.

I voted on Friday; I didn't think there would be so many people but we waited in line around 40 minutes. And that was with 6 booths.
