Clint Eastwood stars as Earl Stone, a man who is ninety-years-old, broke, alone, and facing foreclosure of his business when he is offered a job that
simply requires him to drive. Easy enough, but, unbeknownst to Earl, he's just signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel.

The Mule (2018) - IMDb

There aren't many actors or directors who are nearly 90. I wonder whether this will be CE's last role and film ?
Not the best CE movie but his acting is what you'd expect from a 90 yr old.

I can't bring myself to watch this movie because I loathe Cheney so much. :D

Do it! I must say that in the past I always totally underestimated and more or less overlooked him.

In a nutshell, the story of the movie can be summarized as "Everything bad you have ever heard about George W. Bush's administration, he was actually only the naive patsy. The real villain was the man who pulled the strings from the shadow, Dick Cheney"...

He is pure evil, in my humble opinion. I did hear that it was very well-acted.

I think I'm starting to get old. Cause I've watched a lot of old movies lately. :P Isn't that a typical sign of getting old?

As for now, I'm watching "Cast Away". There a few actors that can hold a movie all by themself. Tom Hanks are one of the few.

Hopefully not.

I watched a good movie today called The Mustang. It was released just last year and another one I never heard of. It is about a prison program in which prisoners train wild mustangs so they can be auctioned off to law enforcement agencies. This is of course fiction but there are programs in the west that do this. The acting in this movie was superb and it was very moving even if a bit predictable. Bruce Dern was in it. I didn't even know he was still alive! He is 83! The main character was played by an actor I never heard of because he isn't from the US, Matthias Schoenaerts. The movie was produced by Robert Redford. Worth watching especially if you like horses!

I watched The Holiday on Sky Christmas. It's an old time christmas favourite and it always makes me laugh.

I love that movie, too. I think I even have it DVD, so I might have to bust that out soon.

I watched that some time ago. Hanks was very good in it (and so was Helen Hunt, although of course she didn't have much to do in it).

I have not been picking very good movies lately! :D A couple of them were so bad I didn't even finish watching them! Though last night I watched a winner. It is called The Mule and is a Clint Eastwood film he produced and starred in. It was released last year. It based on a real life 90 year old drug mule though of course they just took that fact and built a story around it. It was a good story about an elderly man who became desperate for money and became involved with a drug cartel. I liked it though some of it was not very believable. There were some big stars in it; Bradley Cooper, Michael Pena, Lawrence Fishburne and Andy Garcia. Eastwood's IRL daughter plays his daughter.

I have found a few new (2019) Christmas Hallmark movies on Youtube (without translation),- they look not very difficult for my English comprehension. Have started watching this one yet:
