TV & Film Movie Lounge

I'm watching the Creed films as I'm seeing the new one this weekend. The first one seems quite good!

I watched Normal.
It was pretty good. A bit dramatic. But what do ya expect when the subject is kinda heavy. But the su***de part was too much for me...
But it was very strong movie, very realistic. Recommend 100%.
Spoilers: the ending is kinda happy.

Even better than Normal is Elvis and Madonna (2010).

I saw Creed 3 today. I thought it was the least good one of those films, but it was still very enjoyable to watch. There were some young guys behind us when we left and they were saying they thought it was awful. One guy was saying that he only thought the first film was good so why would he have bothered to go and see the new film, lol?😂

We went to see Scream 6 yesterday at the cinema. I was really looking forward to seeing it and it was very good. I did guess a few things, but I still really enjoyed it. It was much more violent than the other films!

we watched The Intern last night on Netflix - a 2015 movie with Robert Di Nero, Anne Hathaway and Rene Russo - I really liked it, found it very different and very entertaining

Watched “Nobody” on Amazon Prime as it was marketed as some John-Wick kind of movie and had good reviews on IMDB, but found it not very convincing. The story was less logical and compelling than John Wick, a bit of gratuitous violence, somehow fun but not something I would recommend.

I'm watching Alien Covenant as it is on TV tonight. I have seen it before, but can't really remember it. I did watch the first Alien a few weeks ago for about the 50th time as it was on TV.

Has anyone watched “Banshees of Inisherin”?

My wife wants to know whether it’s a tragedy - she doesn’t like to watch these.
The way she defines “tragedy” is basically when some of the main figures die (e.g. Ralf Fiennes in “The Constant Gardener”)
If you can answer this question, I would appreciate it.
Please put the answer in spoilers in order not to spoiler anybody’s experience of the movie.
