Munich creates "urban naked zones"

I've always tried to imagine how much happier I'd be if I lived in this kind of society.
Few people find ALL human bodies to be very beautifull, RF.
I'm likely different from the norm, but a few extra pounds can be sexy. I wouldn't say all bodies are beautiful, but a very large percent are.

I've been with large groups of people who were skinny dipping. Nobody really cared about what everyone else looked like, they were busy having fun swimming and just spending time with people who didn't judge. At least half were morbidly obese and no one made comments about their size, everyone was welcome. I think naturalists have a different way of looking at things than most people.

Religion and the beauty industry are the ones who have turned being naked into something shameful. I think one of the problems people have with it is that they equate being naked with sex. Once you can separate the two, you aren't so worried about what you look like or about having to impress others.

Of course there are times when it isn't practical to be naked, we wore towels around the food. :p

I have nothing against it, but I never saw the point of skinny dipping for its own sake.

Sure, if the motivation is to check people out, that, at least, makes sense. But there is little real difference between wearing a suit and not unless your in a swimming race and want to reduce friction.

I've done it once before, and aside from breaking a social taboo, it didn't really seem all that special to me. I mean, so your private parts swing back and forth with the current, what's the big deal? Why is that so enticing?

I'm just comfortable being naked, I sometimes feel....weighted down(?) by clothes. I'm not sure how to describe it. I like not feeling constricted. There isn't anything special about skinny dipping, it's just nice to swim without feeling wet clothing clinging to you.

No. The media and advertising have turned " being anything but beautiful" into something shameful.

So " beautiful " people have no qualms about getting naked because they are.

But Most shrink from getting naked not because they are adverse to nudity but because they feel they don't measure up to this narrow definition of beauty and have been made to feel ashamed of their bodies as a result.

I agree that there shouldn't be any shame in being naked as long as it is in certain designated areas if it's in a public place. If some people are upset then they shouldn't go there to be outraged.:p I think it would be a lovely feeling to be able to swim naked in a lake or in the sea, I mean I must have done it when I was a child.

If humans were much more accepting of nudity during the Pagan days compared to more modern religions(all signs point to this being the case), religion obviously must have played a role. We've already been over this discussion though.

For those of you in the 18+ adult discussion area who are interested in seeing what it looks like to feel comfortable being naked in public, I posted a link to a blog that posts non-sexual pictures of happy nudist couples.

I quite like this idea. I've never been nude in public (as far as I can remember) but I like being nude around the home. I think if nudity were more normal I'd be interested in getting involved, but I'm not interested enough to seek places out to be nude.

I think that most people rarely ever see bodies of a variety of shapes, sizes, ages, ethnicity, etc. I think it would be nicer if we were more comfortable with the way other people and ourselves looked naked/naturally, and that seeing a bigger variety of nude people would help with that.
