Number of children a sign of character

Quite a few non-human species have very large families indeed. I don't think that they think bout it, but if they did, they would consider it to be very natural and normal.
Most species producing in big numbers can't produce close to the suffering that humans producing in big numbers can.

So that's if couples have 6 children together? That would be correct in that case.
It requires two people to have a child. Both sides have responsibility for producing the child. I'm not saying they're 100% responsible for the 4,374 children, but they do have responsibility.

The U.S. population this year grew at its lowest rate since the Great Depression, according to the latest Census Bureau estimates Monday that suggest the sluggish economy continues to tamp down on immigration, and birth rates are still low for those already here.

The country added just 2.255 million new people between July 1, 2012, and July 1, 2013, the Census Bureau reported. That’s the smallest total increase since the 1980s and, when measured against the size of the population, is less than three-quarters of a percent, or the lowest rate of growth since 1937. http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2...evel-drops-due-low-birth-rates-immi/?page=all
