I love what she's doing for animals who need rescuing, but I'm sorry she has problems with the guard donkeys. I knew I would have to take certain safeguards when I adopted certain animals: e.g.: I had to make sure I could provide a safe room for my rodent pets because of my cats; I could only adopt a second pair of gerbils because I had an empty cage they could stay in if they didn't get along with the first pair.

You pretty much covered it, but I have always considered margarine to be something I "try not to eat", but eat anyway at times, because it's almost impossible to cook some things such as you said... grilled vegan cheese sandwiches which I like every once in a while.

I substitute oil in my baking. I can't think of anything I bake that I don't use oil instead. I use Bob's Red Mill vegan "eggs"... but at a rate of 3 for every 2. I use oat-milk instead of milk or cream in recipes, except often with baking... water works just fine. Sometimes cookies made with oil are a bit flatter than they should be, but a tweek is to add a little more flour.

As much as I would like to eat perfectly, there's always some margarine lurking at the back of my refrigerator.

I think this may be in the wrong thread? I use apple sauce in place of oil when I bake ....
