Nutrition & Diet September Health Challenge

PTree I'm so jealousy of your hikes! I'm going to have to do a weekend in Wales or somewhere soon!

I jump in in the middle of the month here. :P

This month I've started to run. I've always hated to run, but then I took my dogs to the forrest, and ran on small paths there. And I loved it! It's really fun, and my running gets better each time I'm out now. I try to run 2-3 times a week, and I hope I can continue it when I start working again (holliday now, I work every other week, graveyardshift, and walk 18-20 km each night, so not always I have a lot of energy for lang walks and running when I work).

This holliday I've only been at home, but I have gone on several long hikes. On Friday I went on a 26 km hiking with the dogs.

My main goal is to get in better shape. I want to run the 21 km marathon next year, and hopefully som other races in the future with the goal only to finnish. I also want to go on longer hikes, and loose some weight. :)

I'm back on 9-5. Hoping to get back to walking before work and that the mornings aren't too cold!

Today is the kick off for an activity competition at work! I have enter it, and my main goal is to get maximum points every day and win all the individual prizes you can (just small stuff, like a Camelbak bottle etc). :D

DO IT... and...OMG, my friend wants to do this hike that is like 170-something miles or something. I can't remember the name of the trail/mountains, but she said it was in Wales and it sounded awesome. Problem is I need three weeks to do it, and I don't have that much vacation time yet :D. I can dream, though. You will have to do it for me and post lots of pictures I can drool over. :D Whaddya say? :D

ETA: I have had a fab week workout-wise, but not so much food-wise. Too much Chinese takeout and not enough water...not to mention a few cocktails/glasses of wine this week. Still, I have managed three days of weights (yay!) and four days of working out. I should get in 6 days with tomorrow and Saturday. I have done the treadmill and some Leslie videos this week. Today was a three-mile power walk with hand weights. Awesome workout. I sweat more than I think I will with these videos. Lots of knee lifts. :D

So I've been being really good. :) I have been keeping up the ab challenge thing (at one point I took a three day break, but I made myself go back to it)

And ... *drumroll* I can now do up my goal pants! :D Granted, they're so tight there's no way I'd wear them for a day yet (in fact, I'm afraid of what might happen if I sit down in them ... ) but I haven't been able to do them up in ages, so this feels really good! :) It wasn't all that long ago where I couldn't even pull them up, so this is a great achievement for this year for me. Before I know it I'll be able to wear them comfortably.

That is awesome. Congratulations!!

Seriously, if anyone wants to time up/get muscle definition...do the 30 day shred.

There's really no way you can do that & not see results. If you don't, you're not trying hard enough haha :D

I want to. I think I may do this for November. Fall is a dangerous time for me food-wise. All my comfort foods come a-calling, and I really would like to, for once in my life, make it through the holidays without going off the rails food-wise. :D I would like not to dread the holidays as well (food-craziness-wise). I like to have goals and structure and such, so I think this would be good.

I have my first week on work after my holiday, and I have had my weeks two runs! Very happy about it, since I already have walked over 50 km on work this week (and have 60 km left this week. :P ). I also have full points every day in the competition so far at work! It's very fun, as I see a lot of the competitors are really well trained people, and I'm not (yet. :P )

I hope! I have to loose some moore weight first. I've lost 9 kg in 8 weeks now. And can run 3 km without a break. First time I had problem running 1 minute...

New pb again at this week's 5k run.
Was hoping for sub 30 and did it in 29.02 mins!
It was really hard though...as you can tell from the pics at the finish line xxx

1. Continue with daily Yoga and meditation.
2. Get more sleep.
3. I should do cardio.
4. Make lunches for work because even the vegan stuff in the cafeteria is pretty fatty. Except this yummy quinoa thing they have.
5. Listen to more loud music and dance more.
Good :)
