I think he was completely adorable when he was young, and I like him just fine in most of his movies.
I used to have posters of him all over my bedroom walls when I was younger.

But you are passionate about corn, sailing, and sheik-y kittens, yes?
Am I the only one who's completely neutral on Costner?
I think Kevin Costner is just like any other actor: He sucks in some things and is pretty good in other things. I liked him in Hatfield & McCoys, but his *cough* portrayal of Robin Hood made me cringe.
That's kind of what I'm saying. My default is to like things over disliking (and I like that about myself), but I don't like him any more than I like almost any actor and he in no way stands out to me as anything spectacularly good, but definitely not spectacularly bad.
No he is spectacularly bad. He has two things going for him, his looks and his ability (despite being an abysmal actor) to land roles in otherwise good movies. He was able to parlay his "star" power into co directing Waterworld and look what that got us, bad acting in horrible movie.
No you're a bad actor!
Seriously, I don't think he's bad. I've never noticed bad acting and I've watched quite a lot of his movies. You will not convince me of this. There isn't even evidence you can present to prove this point, since it's entirely subjective. There is no possible proof of what you claim, unless it's the movies themselves, which I've already watched and not seen what you described.
Stuff in movies and on TV that bothers you:
Nick Cage.
The only actor possibly worse is Keanu Reeves.
Keanu is terrible in a lot of films!
Yes, yes he is, however he one thing up on Kevin Costner... he doesn't cause my irrational hate switch to trip, lol.
Another bad actor to add to the list, right behind Costner and Reeves.
