TV & Film Stuff in movies and on TV that bothers you

I think Kevin Costner is just like any other actor: He sucks in some things and is pretty good in other things. I liked him in Hatfield & McCoys, but his *cough* portrayal of Robin Hood made me cringe. :p

Am I the only one who's completely neutral on Costner? :(

That's kind of what I'm saying. My default is to like things over disliking (and I like that about myself), but I don't like him any more than I like almost any actor and he in no way stands out to me as anything spectacularly good, but definitely not spectacularly bad.

No he sucks in everything, every single performance is cringe worthy. :p

No he is spectacularly bad. He has two things going for him, his looks and his ability (despite being an abysmal actor) to land roles in otherwise good movies. He was able to parlay his "star" power into co directing Waterworld and look what that got us, bad acting in horrible movie.

No you're a bad actor!

Seriously, I don't think he's bad. I've never noticed bad acting and I've watched quite a lot of his movies. You will not convince me of this. There isn't even evidence you can present to prove this point, since it's entirely subjective. There is no possible proof of what you claim, unless it's the movies themselves, which I've already watched and not seen what you described.

The only actor possibly worse is Keanu Reeves. I think they went to the same acting school. :p

My god they can't act... it's like they're reading the script 1st run in a monotone with a lack of facial expressions. The movies Costner's been in have been good despite him.

Yes, yes he is, however he one thing up on Kevin Costner... he doesn't cause my irrational hate switch to trip, lol.

I think you may have a latent attraction to Kevin Costner, you seem obsessed.:rofl:Keanu is a very wooden actor IMO.

Nicolas Cage was good in Raising Arizona. I also remember liking Lord of War, Matchstick Men, and Adaptation. And I'm a sucker for treasure hunt/puzzle type movies so I enjoyed National Treasure; it was fun.
But he has definitely done some pretty bad movies, too.
