Synthetic meat

I couldn't eat it even if I wanted to. One of the problems I had as a child was the knowledge that I was chewing on flesh like my flesh. I had bones and veins and legs and thighs and ribs and fat just like what I was being expected to eat had, and it was horrific to me.

My reaction to this thread.
"Oh another one about test tube meat, I wont bother clicking on the meat".
reads:
Okay, printing meat is a new one.
"WHAT?"

ok printing meat sounds really weird. I wouldnt eat it, firstly because I am one of these lucky ones who has no craving for meat. Ive adjusted to live without it quite well. Secondly its still made from an animal, something had to have its biopsy taken to clone (for lack of better word) the meat. Would I encourage omnis who refused to give up meat to buy it though? Maybe.

On the plus side, if they can use the technology to eventually grow human organs, thats pretty neat. not to eat obviously!

It still baffles me today how others don't realize it. Especially when cooking raw meats.

Maybe if they sneak it into actual meat like they did with the horse in the burgers no1 will notice.
Only joking!! Xxx
You know, that is what they will do, on a larger scale, if it ever becomes more profitable than ordinary meat. They will do just like the GMO industry does, pay off the FDA so that they won't be forced by law to identify their food as genetically modified, so they won't have to tell anyone they are eating synthetic meat. And then they will try to force small businesses who can't fight back to stop labeling their food as synthetic-meat-free, so no one will be able to make informed food choices.
