The Cat Lovers Thread

That's one thing about cats I think all cat people have noticed: cats love to get in things. Bags, boxes, rooms that have the door closed... I'm glad she didn't try to hurt your lizard. I don't know how to read a lizard's body language, but they seem pretty chill about this big, warm, fuzzy thing in the tank.

Tallulah, lulu is 6 months old tomorrow. She loves yoga, is my bathroom buddy and she loves Selina. She is sweet.
Edit to add she still loves to play fetch.

I just accidentally learned about the Cat Cafe, Canterbury Trails.

"The cats, which are all rescues, have tons of enrichment and aren’t allowed to be woken or picked up by visitors (but can be played with, pet, etc otherwise). They even have an entire floor to themselves which no customers can access if they want/need time away from people. And their whole menu is plant-based too!"

Has anyone been there?

I love the DeLand Cat Cafe and have been there several times. If you are thinking of going to your local cat cafe, I encourage it!

We went to a cat cafe in London last year. I read recently that they are thinking about banning them here. The cafe we went to only had rescue cats.

@Raven I was wondering why cat cafes would be banned. The only thing I can think of is: maybe it's to avoid the possibility that a human (or a cat) might be injured?
The one in Canterbury seems to have a lot of safeguards in place. Maybe some place aren't so careful which might result in cats being stressed out.

The DeLand Cat Cafe has cats from a local rescue and many have been adopted that probably wouldn't have been if not for the exposure at the cafe. People have been very supportive with donations of needed items like food and enrichment like the cat towers. The charge to visit is only $10 which is reasonable IMHO. I think cat cafes provide a needed service.
