I made some homemade deep fried chips last night and it is amazing how different they taste compared to frozen oven chips. I don't know anyone that make them and I always have the frozen oven chips when invited.

I think that real homemade chips taste far better and as an occasional treat are worth the extra grams of fat.

I have tried making chips in the past....steaming, and then deep fat frying.

They were never as good as chipshop chips....the only real chips I can get on JustEat are cooked in beef fat...otherwise it is a three mile round walk to get some, from up the valley...
