Merry Christmas, fellow VVers! So good to hear that everyone enjoyed their holiday! I did as well, and had a fab day with my family. We ate, drank and were very merry, playing games such as Catch Phrase and cards. I got some very cool gifts, among them two (!) purses, a charm for my bracelet, a Boston Bruins Stanley Cup book, two(!) Alex and Ani bracelets and two Tervis insulated tumblers with Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots logos on them. I am lucky to have such a wonderful family.

My quiche that I had for breakfast. It's not real pretty or food porn worthy but it was delicious!

And I had some leftover sweet potatoes and glazed carrots. Couldn't have them in the same dish with the quiche, lol. I've decided Dandies marshmallows don't work as well as Sweet and Sara...S&S puff up and melt better.

Quiche. Is that a vegan recipe?

Yes! I am so happy with the results. I know I will be making it again and again. This one has onions, mushrooms and broccoli with some Daiya cheese thrown in for good measure. I will use different veggies for variety. I would also like to try it without a crust.

Lol... I don't know who's scarier...Santa or the kid!

Santa for sure! That Santa looks evil!:hide:

The quiche looks delicious!

Although I put my gifts away as soon as possible, I am not one of those people that takes decorations down right after Christmas. Hell I don't even take them down after New Year's. I leave my tree and decorations up until the end of January sometimes until the beginning of February.[/quote]

No hurry to take the decorations down here. One promise I've made myself for next year is to start much earlier!

Thanks for the Boxing Day trivia. It's not really observed in The States in an official sense, the way it is in Canada and the UK. i had forgotten what it was about and meant to look it up. Mystery solved!

Hey, KLS....your quiche looks awesome. Can you share the recipe?

Sure...I used this as a base and changed it up to suit my own personal taste. I omitted the peppers, basil and nutmeg and added Daiya cheese. And it did take longer than 30 minutes to cook. I kept it in the oven at least 45 mintues and the knife never really came out clean. But it firmed up nicely as it sat awhile. I am in so in love with this quiche. I'm going to make it crustless this weekend. This time I'm going to add carrots and zucchini and leave out the broccoli.

My second quiche is as good as the first! I made it with zucchini, onions, mushrooms, Daiya cheese and some crumbled up smart bacon which added a nice touch. :)

I found some great deals on Christmas decorations that were marked 75% off. They were pretty, pink, matched my tree and I put them up! Screw waiting for next year to use them. They are too awesome to be sitting in the closet so soon.:D
