I looked on Amazon for the Loretta Young movie. They have it for $26 dollars. I can't justify buying it for myself. I can however put it on my Christmas wish list and have one of my daughters buy it for me.

I also looked it up and apparently it is a bootleg as the film has only been made for vhs tapes. Do you still have a vhs recorder ? The film is really worth the money as she is just a pure delight to watch. I'm going to try and record it on my SKY box.

Why don't you just order the tape as it is much cheaper. I also still have my vhs recorder and tons of tapes.

"Christmas Eve is based on the 1947 Christmas Eve movie that starred George Raft. The new version is skillfully updated and tweaked. While both movies are good, I actually favor the 1986 made for TV version. There is a warmth that is palpable between the actors -- and the cast is impressive -- Loretta Young, Arthur Hill, Trevor Howard, etc. This is what a Christmas Movie should be -- heartwarming, family oriented, and a reminder that Christmas is about love, not gifts. I've just receive my Amazon order for the above book. It contains many classic vegetarian christmas recipes including lots of basics ; gravy, nut roast, roast potatoes, mincemeat, christmas cake and pudding.
