Vegan Valentine’s on a budget

For those who prefer a more modest romantic meal, more affordable vegan Valentine’s options are available.

Aldi is offering one of the most affordable vegan Valentine meal deals, at £4.73 per person or £7.22 with Prosecco.

Included in the deal are Specially Selected Mushroom Arancini, Specially Selected Vegan Pies, Vegan Chocolate Brownie, and Vegan Prosecco Frizzante.

Another budget option is from Asda, which offers a starter, main, two sides and a drink for just £6 per person.

Vegan options include Vegan Brie Hearts, Mushroom Stroganoff Pies, Vegan Brownies, and a choice of two alcohol-free sparkling drinks.

For a more modest night in, Asda shoppers can pick up heart-shaped pizzas on its create-your-own pizza counters. These pizzas are half-and-half, meaning shoppers can share a pizza with their beau without a fight over flavours.

Speaking about the launch, Adam Forster – Buying Manager for Pizza at Asda, said: “Whether it’s a grazing board with friends or a night in with a loved one, we’ve launched the heart-shaped, half-and-half pizza, so customers can share the with the ones they love (whilst still enjoying their favourite slice!)

“We know our customers are passionate about their pizza … everyone has their preferences, so we’re glad that on Valentine’s Day no one has to compromise on a single flavour!”
