Of course this would result in higher prices for meat.
Carnists would call this policy non-progressive and harm the poor, but no one says you Have to eat meat.
Also corporate shills would come up with stuff like the government is coming for your hamburgers.
Getting people to eat less meat would be good for health care, the environment, and especially the animals.

Since 2022, factory farms have been “roasting” birds alive in super-heated sheds with no ventilation. Why? Because it’s a cheap way to exterminate entire flocks to prevent the spread of avian influenza. It’s called ventilation shutdown plus (VSD+).
