You may have read about this proposed ballot initiative filed by Huntington Beach, California lawyer Matt McLaughlin. It's a national story and possibly an international one as well. It's a proposed law which would require the MURDER of gays and lesbians.
This has little chance of getting on the ballot, and even if it does, it has little chance of being passed by the voters. And even if THAT happens, it will likely be struck down as unconstitutional. But additional attention has turned to the lawyer who created this thing. There is a movement now to get him disbarred.
Here are two different petitions to that end. As a California resident, I've signed both.

Petition: Disbar Lawyer Who Proposed Gay People Should be Shot!
