The world just redefined the kilogram
I wasn’t sure which category this fits in. Earth science? Space science? Mathematics? All three? But I still think the article is interesting. And it continues to annoy me that we have in Maryland, USA, a system for recalibrating the kilogram for the entire planet, and officially, the US won’t adapt to the metric system.
